What is Calling in Teams?

Teams Voice is a modern cloud-based telephony solution in Microsoft Teams. It enables users to make, receive, and transfer calls to and from landlines and mobile phones on the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) in Microsoft Teams.

Do I have to change my numbers?

No, you can port your existing numbers to Teams, or you can get a new number through Teams. Porting your numbers can take anywhere from 5 to 14 days, depending on who your current phone provider is.

What headsets work with Teams?

What to expect after the migration to Teams Phone System?

Once moved to Teams Calling, all Calls and Messages will be sent to Teams. Skype for Business contacts will automatically be synced within 24-48 hours. Any meetings that you have organised will automatically convert to Teams meetings too. Meeting participants who still use Skype for Business can connect to the meetings using the Skype web application.
