Brainlabs is a digital marketing and media company, employing over 200 staff members worldwide. It primarily focuses on data measurement, data science, and modern marketing technology to drive growth and deliver positive results for businesses
To support its operations, Brainlabs utilizes Google Workspace for its data, including Google Mail, Google Drive, and Google Shared Drive
MIGRATING TO OFFICE 365The Request
Brainlabs recently acquired a new business with 80 users, currently utilizing Microsoft Office 365 for emails and data, which is split between OneDrive and SharePoint. Brainlabs aims to consolidate all company data into its Google Workspace tenancy, transitioning to Google Mail, Google Drive, and Google Shared Drive for all its operations
HOW WIZARD IT HELPEDThe Solution
Emails
All emails were migrated into the new Google Mail mailbox containing the existing file structure within the mailbox and all historic emails, contacts, and calendar appointments
The previous domain was configured as an alias on each mailbox
User Data
All OneDrive data was mapped to the new accounts Google Drive. All Data and folder structure was migrated across along with all permissions shared internally and externally
Company Data
The business had multiple SharePoint sites, so each SharePoint site was set up with a dedicated Google Shared Drive instead. All data was migrated with its existing file structure and permissions shared internally and externally
The acquired business had multiple SharePoint sites that need to be migrated to Brainlabs Google Shared Drive. We decided to migrate these Sharepoint sites over to dedicated Shared Drives to ensure that the new employees were familiar with the structure and didn’t have to change their processes. All permissions were also migrated over seamlessly to Google Shared Drive to ensure a smooth transition
BETTER WORKSPACE ENVIRONMENTThe Results
The company which originally used Microsoft services for their company data were now fully migrated into the Brainlabs Google Workspace environment with the same data and permissions they were using on the previous solution. This was a like for like migration over to different services
